How Our Business Model Works

A fully transparent business model

Merci Beaucoup Tattoo aims to have a fully transparent business model.

Rent and operating costs are paid by the owner and are not contingent on the other artists. This is a business that wants to employ a diverse set of artists, with different experience levels, not have those artists be responsible for nor be focusing on keeping the lights on.

Here’s how the money works at Merci Beaucoup Tattoo:

Each artist is responsible for setting and charging their own prices for their clients. There is no minimum required to use the space, and the artists have full control over how they would like to charge for their work.

Money paid to the shop by our artists will be immediately split into two separate accounts: the shop's money, which receives 75% and is used to pay continuing operating costs, and the other 25%, which will be put into a separate account that is donated every three months to the charity or nonprofit of the shop's choosing.
